Parking at Kayak/Canoe Launch, Worcester Road, MA-122, Barre, MA
This long, leisurely hike begins at the parking lot and travels down a densely vegetated trail past an old timber harvest, ending at the site of a former covered bridge. The bridge is no longer there, but the view of the river is as picturesque as it gets and well worth the visit. Hike is 4 miles round trip and passes the historic Riverside Cemetery. Please bring water, wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for ticks.
