Evidence Submission

Evidence from law enforcement agencies must be submitted to the Evidence Control Unit in accordance with lab evidence schedules and by appointment only.

The Evidence Control Unit (ECU) falls under the Forensic Support Section of the MSPCL. We ensure the integrity of all items submitted, the proper storage of evidence, and the transportation of items to our facilities.

We track all stored and preserved items electronically from their time of submission until final disposition using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
