The Explore Possibility Summit is back! This year we will host our signature event on September 7 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center. This day will feature activities, learning opportunities, keynote speakers, workshops, and networking for the disability community.

What You Can Expect

The 2023 Explore Possibility Summit was built for and by the disability community. We want to make sure the Summit feels like a safe and engaging space where you can connect with other members of the community, learn something new, and have some fun. If you have any questions about how this event will fit your needs, please email us at mrc-disabilityengagement@mass.gov.

  • Thursday, September 7, from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center, 1657 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01701.

  • The event is free for all attendees.

  • Getting back out there: Tips and Tricks for Navigating Local Transportation, Air Travel, and Supports You Can UseEmbracing Diverse Identities in the Workplace – Supporting disclosure in the workplace, and finding strategies to embrace diverse identities of colleagues and individuals served
  • Behavioral Health: Wellness Tools and Tips to Support Mental Health and Substance Use Recovery
  • Building Healthy Relationships: Building Positive Professional and Personal Relationships in Your Support Network
  • FAMILY TRACK Morning Session: Navigating Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. How to get your questions answered, resources to help when things aren’t going well, and existing tools to support your family in partnering with MRC services

11:30 AM - 12:15 PM: Networking Activities 

  • Self-Care Space: This room is open for anyone who needs a quiet space to take a break from Summit activities and decompress. You will find coloring books, fidget tools, and other sensory objects available to use!
  • Exhibit Tables: Visit the exhibit tables for over 30 programs, services, and supports for the Disability Community! Grab some swag and great information from our vendors.
  • Speed Networking: Participate in this fun and interactive way to get to know other members of the disability community and learn about disability service across the Commonwealth
  • Professional Headshots: Get a free professional headshot taken to help yourself stand out on LinkedIn, and to use on the search for your next career!
  • Assistive Technology Demos: Check out our Accessibility Vans demo outside or visit the AT tables to see demos of high-tech gadgets and tools that could work for you!

12:30 - 1:30 PM: Lunch and Performance by Tune Foolery

2:10 - 3:25 PM: Afternoon Breakout Workshop - to download the workshop click on your desired topic
