Agriculture Calendar Annual Photo Contest

The annual photo contest winners are featured in the annual Massachusetts Agriculture Calendar.

Photo Contest Details

We encourage the public to submit up to five photographs that spotlight the diversity of food and agriculture grown in Massachusetts throughout the seasons of the year. We seek photos that represent "MassGrown" crops (maple syrup, cranberries, livestock, flowers/plants, fruits and vegetables), as well as innovative farming methods such as renewable energy systems and/or urban agriculture.

Winning photographers will be invited to the Big E and announced at the Massachusetts Building on "Massachusetts Day"! Winners will receive complimentary copies and be featured on MDAR’s “MassGrown” website, www.Mass.gov/Massgrown as well as throughout the year on its’ social media sites.

When submitting, please submit your highest resolution/quality version of the photo. Horizontal/landscape format is the best orientation, and 300 dpi at the final calendar size of 10 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" tall is the best resolution. Low-resolution photos cannot be used. There is a limit of 20MB per photo, with 100MB total per submission.

Photographers retain the copyright to their photographs. MDAR and MAC retains the rights to reproduce the winning photographs in online publications, promotions, as well as on printed materials.
