The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is pleased to offer online access to many licensing, permitting and certificate services. With EEA ePLACE Portal, the Commonwealth hopes to deliver more efficient, convenient, and interactive e-government services.

How do I claim my existing MassDEP Permit/License/Certification?

Use this form to link to a prior/existing approval that's not currently available in the EEA ePLACE Portal. You'll need to complete this process first before trying to Amend/Modify and/or Renew your current approval.

  •  Check your MassDEP agency/program site for detailed instructions and required documentation. To find out more information, visit MassDEP ePLACE Applications Available.
  • This is a one time process. Once the agency completes the review of the claim application, you will be able to amend/modify and/or renew.
  •  No fees are required for this application process.

How do I request access to a record?

Use this form to request access to a Record that has been submitted in the EEA ePLACE Portal by someone else; for example, if the original application submitter has changed.

  • Check your agency/program site for detailed instructions and the required documentation. To find out more information, visit EEA ePLACE Applications Available.
  • Once the agency completes the review of the request record access application, you will be able to take the appropriate action.
  • This process is not applicable for individual Licensees/Certificates.
  • No fees are required for this application process.

Search data on EEA ePLACE Public Access Portal

Access to the EEA ePLACE Public Access Portal will allow you to:

  • Search and view all pending and final decisions for Permit, Certification, License or Notification Applications submitted online through the EEA ePLACE Portal.
  • Search and/or provide Comments on Applications that are open for Public Comments. Some applications may be open for public comments outside this portal. For more information, please visit the particular program.
  • Not all applications will have comment periods and not all comments are published.

For technical assistance using the EEA ePLACE Portal, please call the ePLACE Help Desk Team at 844-733-7522 between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with the exception of all Commonwealth and Federal observed holidays. You can also email the help desk at ePLACE_helpdesk@mass.gov.

For a faster resolution of your inquiry please have the following information ready prior to contacting the help desk:

  • Agency/Program
  • Record ID (Application/License/Permit Number, etc.)
  • A screenshot, if you are receiving an error message
