What you need   for Check the status of your driver's education certificate

If you are under 18, you must have successfully completed all portions of your driver’s education program before you can receive a driver's education certificate. Anyone is eligible to take a driver's education program, regardless of age, and the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) will record completion. 

In addition, drivers under the age of 18 must complete an approved driver's education program before they can schedule a road test. 

Professional driving schools are responsible for notifying the RMV of completion. If your certificate has not been processed, you should contact your driving school.

There is no fee to check the status of your driver's education certificate.

How to check   Check the status of your driver's education certificate

For customers under the age of 18, you can check the status of your driver's education certificate online by selecting Access My Profile option and providing your:

  • Learner's permit or driver's license number
  • Date of birth
  • Last name
  • Last 4 digits of your SSN

The date of Driver's Education completion will appear to the right of your photo (above Date of Birth).
