Pay your road test and/or driver's license fees

Passenger (Class D) or motorcycle (Class M) learner's permit holders may avoid a trip to an RMV Service Center to have their license issued if all fees have been paid.

What you need   for Pay your road test and/or driver's license fees

To pay your road test and/or driver's license fees, you will need to provide your:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Driver's license or learner's permit number
  • Applicable fee

How to pay   Pay your road test and/or driver's license fees

To pay your road test and/or driver's license fees online, you will need to provide your:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Driver's license or learner's permit number
  • Email address
  • Applicable fee

If you have a commercial learner's permit (CLP), you can also pay your fees online but you must visit an RMV Service Center in person to have your driver's license issued after passing your road test.

You will need to provide your:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Driver's license or learner's permit number
  • Applicable fee

Your driver's license will be mailed to you within 7 to 10 days if you have: 

  • Passed your road test
  • No outstanding obligations
  • Paid all road test and driver's license fees
  • Proven lawful presence (for customers who obtained a Learner's Permit before 3/26/2018)

After passing your road test and if all fees have been paid, your passenger (Class D) or motorcycle (Class M) learner's permit will be stamped in the validation section and immediately serve as your temporary driver's license while the permanent license is mailed to you. 

If you pass the road test and have not prepaid for your license, within 60 days, you must pay the fees online.
