Features
SharePoint gives you more freedom on how to organize sites, document libraries, and folders to better suit your needs. With a SharePoint site, you can interact across both mobile and PC devices:
- Inform your employees through your “intranet”
- Share common resources and applications on home sites and portals
- Share files, data, news, and resources
- Customize your site to streamline your team’s work
External sharing:
- By selecting NO, only Commonwealth employees with a SharePoint license who have been granted access by a site administrator will be able to access the SharePoint site.
- By selecting YES, external users will also be allowed access to the SharePoint site after they are granted access by a site administrator.
Site Template:
- Choose a Team site template if you want a site where users can work on documents collaboratively.
- Choose a Communication site template if you want a site to store information for employees to access.
Pricing
There is no additional* fee to create a Microsoft SharePoint site.
*Microsoft SharePoint is included with your M365 G3 license.
How to request
Please note: Internal agency IT Liaison (ITL) approval is required in order for EOTSS to process this request.
Service Level Expectation (SLE)

Create a SharePoint Site
SLE Responsibilities/Dependencies Fulfillment: 90% within 3 business days Customer
- Responsible for adhering to the EOTSS Standard Rules of Engagement.
- Must provide at least two (2) Site Collection Administrators.
- Adding content and managing SharePoint site including, but not limited to, site permissions.
- All Team sites are group connected unless Customer specifies otherwise.
- Customers requesting this service from the following secretariats must follow the internal business processes outlined below:
- EHS: The request must be made by authorized personnel on behalf of the user. If a non-authorized user creates the ticket directly with EOTSS, it will be rejected.
- LWD: The request must be made by authorized personnel on behalf of the user. If the request comes directly from a non-authorized user, EOTSS will assign it to the LWD Management Team to further process and create a new ticket based on their standards.
- EOE: The request must be made by authorized personnel on behalf of the user. If the request comes directly from a non-authorized user, EOTSS will assign it to the EOE M365 group to further process and create a new ticket based on their standards.
EOTSS
- Responsible for creating a SharePoint Site per the customer’s request (i.e. allowing external sharing and site name). EOTSS will provide out of the box templated SharePoint site.
