What you need
Many companies offer free email addresses. Popular providers include Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Outlook. Once you choose an email provider, you’ll need to submit information such as:
First and last name
Date of birth
A unique email address
A strong password
Some providers may also ask you to provide your phone number to make sure that you have access to that phone.
How to get
- Choose an email provider, go to their website, and select “Create Account.”
- Enter the information you’re asked for.
You may receive a verification code. If you do, type it in to the application to confirm.
Note: Adding a recovery email address or security questions to your new email account is recommended for extra security.
- Review the terms and conditions and select “Agree” to complete setup.
Your new email address is now ready to use.
