If you are currently self-employed, or if you are unemployed but had contributed to paid family and medical leave (PFML) at a previous position, you can apply for PFML benefits by calling the Department’s Contact Center at (833) 344-7365. To be eligible for benefits, you cannot have been unemployed for more than 26 weeks.

A Contact Center Agent will guide you through the application. You can make the process quicker by gathering your required verification documents before calling the Contact Center.
