How to apply for paid family or medical leave if you are unemployed

If you are unemployed but had contributed to paid family and medical leave (PFML) at a previous position, you can apply for PFML benefits by calling the Department’s Contact Center at (833) 344-7365. To be eligible for benefits, you cannot have been unemployed for more than 26 weeks.
