The Details
What you need
The Reasonable Accommodations Capital Reserve Account, or RACRA, has been established to assist executive branch agencies in responding to employee requests for reasonable accommodations in the workplace, where providing the accommodation may otherwise be a financial hardship for the agency.
How to request
- Complete the RACRA Request Form (under "Downloads", below).
- Write a cover memo, where you must:
- Detail the costs listed on the form
- Explain your reasoning for the accommodations requested
- Submit the signed form and memo to: MOD-RACRA@mass.gov
Next steps
Application review
After you submit your RACRA application, MOD reviews the agency application and, if appropriate, certifies eligibility to the Executive Office for Administration and Finance (A&F).
A&F then reviews the application. If A&F decides to approve the application, it will initiate the ISA process to transfer the funds to your agency.
More info
Requests are addressed on a first come, first served basis. All FY25 funds have been allocated. MOD is no longer accepting applications for FY25 funds and is not yet accepting applications for FY26 funds. Check this page for updates.
