The Office of JuryCommissioner (OJC) sends a Failure to Appear Notice by mail to anyone summoned for jury duty who doesn't appear at the courthouse on the day they're scheduled to serve. You'll need to explain why you didn't appear and either reschedule your service or provide evidence for why you should be disqualified, such as a doctor's letter.
There are 2 ways you can respond to this notice.
Call and speak with one of the schedulers to resolve your notice by phone.
To resolve your notice by mail, fill out the postcard attached to your Failure to Appear Notice and send it to the address listed.
Once you serve jury duty or provide proof of disqualification, your Failure to Appear Notice is resolved. If your juror group is canceled on the day of jury duty, you will need to reschedule your service, otherwise your delinquency won't be resolved.
