Learn how employers can respond to fact-finding requests from the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA).
Employers must respond to fact-finding requests within 10 days of the date of the request.

What you need

Requests for more information about filed claims are sent to your Unemployment Services for Employers account. You need to respond online from your account.

All employers will get a request for more information about a claimant’s application. When you respond, you will be able to say if you disagree with the claim or suspect fraud. You may get additional requests for information as the claim progresses.

How to respond

  1. Log in to Unemployment Services for Employers
  2. Visit the Action center to see all requests for information from DUA, including fact-finding requests
  3. Follow the system prompts to submit the requested information

  1. Respond to requests for more information

    If more information is required, DUA will call you.

  2. Look for updates from DUA

    DUA will issue a decision after reviewing all necessary information. You will be able to review this decision if you responded quickly and accurately to the request for information.

Responding after the deadline

You can respond to fact-finding requests after the deadline, but this may affect your rights during the claim process.

Review previous responses

You can review previously submitted information requests in your Unemployment Services for Employers account:

  1. Select Additional services
  2. Select Search submissions
  3. Follow the instructions to submit your search
