The Details

What you need

Your firm needs to be prequalified in the project’s class of work in order to bid on the project.

More Information

  • The deadline to submit a Waiver Request is 1:00 PM Fridays, 1:00 PM Thursday if the Friday is a legal holiday.
  • Do not submit a Request for Official Proposal Form (R109) with your Waiver Request.
  • Before submitting a Waiver Request, be sure your firm’s Single Bond Limit is the same as or is greater than the total project value. A Power-of-Attorney or Attorney-in-Fact must be attached to the letter.
  • Your firm will be notified by email of the Prequalification Committee’s decision concerning your request.
  • If your firm does not have the class of work for the project, go to Submit a Request for Additional Class of Work to request an additional class of work.
  • In accordance with 700 CMR 14.07(1)-(2) “Review of Prequalification Committee Decisions for Contractors, if your firm is aggrieved by the decision or determination of the Prequalification Committee to deny your waiver request, your firm may make a written request for an informal review by the Prequalification Committee.
