The Details

Features

Our WiFi service is tailored exclusively to Massachusetts State and Local government clients and offers Secure and\or Public WiFi access to the Internet via most devices.  WiFi is a fully managed solution; EOTSS manages, maintains and troubleshoots the wireless network; onsite service is included at no additional fee. The service is built in a manner to ensure that only authorized devices can access Commonwealth resources.

Guest access provides convenient internet access with the acceptance of the EOTSS terms and conditions and does not require the use of a Commonwealth issued device.  EOTSS will set up a separate guest network if requested; however, customers already have access to both TSS-managed secure wifi and guest wifi networks.

Secure access requires a Commonwealth-issued device that is connected to the on-premise Active Directory. The service is built in a manner to ensure that only authorized devices can access Commonwealth resources and uses the following security controls: WPA1 and WPA2 data encryption, 802.1x Radius Authentication and DHCP required for WIFI Connection.

EOTSS will work with you to provide coverage planning in the form of a heatmap. EOTSS will implement the physical design, procure the equipment on your behalf, and install any required technology, including cabling, access points (AP), network switches, and AP licensing.

EOTSS will also troubleshoot Wireless Access issues, and work with you and the vendor on issue resolution.

You may request to:

  • Add a new WiFi site (includes Consultation & Design services)
  • Modify an existing WiFi site: for EOTSS MassIT Public\Secure WiFi service, or an EOTSS managed EHS Public\Secure WiFi service. You may need WiFi service to be expanded or reduced.  EOTSS will work with you to leverage the current WiFi infrastructure.
  • Remove an existing WiFi site: for EOTSS MassIT Public\Secure WiFi, or an EOTSS managed EHS Public\Secure WiFi service, and your site is closing or WiFi service is no longer needed.
