    Promotional examination candidates are required to file their ECT&E Claims; It is a mandatory examination component and will result in a failing score on the ECT&E component if the claim is not completed.  Supporting documentation will be accepted up to seven calendar days following the examination date by email: civilservice@mass.gov

  8. Experience/Certification/Training & Education (ECT&E) Last Day to Appeal: TBD

    Before filing an appeal regarding your ECT&E claim, please ensure that your submitted documentation supports the information referenced on your ECT&E claim.

The examination weights are: 52% Technical Knowledge, 28% Situational Judgment Test and 20% Experience/Certification/Training & Education (ECT&E).
