On August 11, 2025, the Commonwealth released a Request for Proposals (RFP) to redevelop a 5.05 acre parking lot at 210 Springs Rd, Bedford for new housing under the Affordable Homes Act.

The parking lot is situated on scenic Springs Road in Bedford. The lot has access to recreational amenities including the Narrow Gauge Rail Trail, Fawn Late trails, and the Wilderness Park.

Size: ±5.05 acres

Permitting: 4 units/acre minimum through Affordable Homes Act

Utilities Confirmed: Water / Sewer / Electric

Interested parties are encouraged, but not required, to register for access to the RFP.
