Mission Based Agricultural Organizations

Whichever ‘category’ a non-profit identifies with, MDAR sees the benefits of their programming and services which strengthens Massachusetts Agriculture and seeks to support these groups in their efforts and in their sustainability.

To that end, MDAR has developed this Tool-Kit to support the operations of agricultural non-profit Boards of Directors. To compile this resource, MDAR contracted non-profit consultants to conduct four training sessions. Recording of the sessions, copies of the presentations and one-sheets with links to additional resources are included in this Tool-Kit. Subjects of the sessions are as follows:

Session 1: Effective Board Governance for Agricultural Non-profits

Session 2: Membership Engagement and Community Building

Session 3: Fundraising and Financial Sustainability

Session 4: Strategic Communication and Digital Media
