- Bicycle and Pedestrian Update - 2021 - MassDOT is committed to making walking and biking a safe, comfortable, and convenient option for everyday trips. This update highlights investments MassDOT has made since releasing its Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plans in 2019 and planned future investments for advancing walking and biking in the Commonwealth.
- 2019 Statewide Bicycle Transportation Plan - Learn about how and why the State is working to increase the percentage of everyday trips made by bicycling, and eliminate bicyclist fatalities and serious injuries at the same time. Every day, Bay State residents and visitors choose to use a bicycle for daily trips, whether for getting to work or school, running errands, or reaching transit stops and stations. Many more people would bicycle for short daily trips if only there were safer, more comfortable, and better-connected routes they could use.
- 2019 Municipal Resource Guide for Bikeability - As part of the Bike Plan, MassDOT developed the Resource Guide in recognition of the important role the 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts will play. Created for municipal staff, elected officials, community members, and anyone interested in biking, the Resource Guide introduces core concepts to enhance community bikeability and directs readers to additional resources for more detailed information.
- Bike Plan Public Engagement Results - Thank you for helping us advance our vision for safe, comfortable, and convenient bike networks for everyday travel. Your input will help us prioritize recommendations, including projects, policies, and programs.
