Julie and Ryan will be discussing stewardship of DCR’s nearly half million acres of public land and the state-wide program initiatives the public can enjoy on them.

Sean Riley- Stewardship Research Biologist & Liz Kernan- Shorebird Protection Program Coordinator

Sean and Lis will present on five years of Northern Saw-whet Owl monitoring and banding conducted at Bradley Palmer State Forest. As contributors to Project Owlnet, a North American research collective, the team will highlight how consistent, long-term monitoring contributes to regional and continental understanding of this species and informs broader conservation and potential management needs. We will also cover other owl species of the Northeast region.
