MassHire offers career support and training programs for Veterans transitioning to civilian careers in Massachusetts. Whether you’re looking for a new job, upgrading your skills, or connecting with employers, MassHire has resources to help you succeed.

Priority of service

U.S. Military Veterans and other covered persons receive Priority of Service (POS) in all employment, training, and placement programs funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL). If you served in the U.S. Military, please identify yourself as such to your local MassHire Career Center staff. 

MassHire JobQuest Veterans portal

The MassHire JobQuest Veterans Portal is your starting point for finding a job in Massachusetts. If you're a Veteran, transitioning service member, or a military spouse, the portal is your gateway to Massachusetts' largest bank of online job listings. 

You can also use MassHire JobQuest to find hiring events and job fairs designed to help Veterans transition into civilian careers. These events connect you directly with employers who value military experience and are actively seeking skilled, mission-driven talent. Whether you’re exploring a new field, building on your military skills, or looking to take the next step in your career, JobQuest helps you discover opportunities and make connections that move you forward.

Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program

Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) specialists help Veterans, especially those with service-connected disabilities, find jobs and training opportunities. They also provide a full range of employment services, including comprehensive assessments, individual employment plans, job referrals, referrals to training and support services, and resume and interview preparation assistance.

Hilton Honors Military Program

This program allows Veterans or spouses of Veterans to receive up to 100,000 lifetime points to stay at Hilton brand hotels for approved job-search-related activities. You must be a Veteran, the spouse of a Veteran, an active-duty, transitioning service member, or a National Guard. HIRE Vets Medallion Award Program

The HIRE Vets Medallion Award honors employers who go above and beyond in recruiting, employing, and retaining America’s veterans.

This national award, presented by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognizes organizations of all sizes, including small businesses, nonprofits, and large companies, that demonstrate a strong commitment to veteran employment and professional growth.
