Christian Ernest Vines "CV"

Christian Ernest Vines, or “CV” as he was affectionately called, was a tall, handsome young man who was very athletic. He was a star basketball player at Avon High School, where he was very popular and had lots of friends. He was a very kind and considerate person. As popular as he was, no one was beneath him. He always took the time to talk to others. Unfortunately, Christian was 3 weeks shy of his high school graduation when his life was cut short; his mom and older sister accepted his diploma. At the graduation, a special needs student and his mom told Christian’s mom and sister about how kind Christian was to him, always asking if he was okay and occasionally sitting with him at lunch. That made the young man feel special. It was the type of person Christian was. He was a caring soul.

Christian was very popular with his cousins, whom he loved dearly, and he was very close to his big sister, Nikyla. They spent a lot of time together, and before he could drive, she was happy to be his chauffeur. Christian was also a funny kid.  When you least expected it, he would randomly say something funny, and his catch phrase was always “say no more!”

Christian was enrolled in gymnastics as a young boy for four years, which helped him with his flexibility for playing other sports. He loved to show off his double back-flip. He also played pop warner, soccer for a short time, then AAU Basketball (Mass Attack), and high school basketball.

Christian has a family who misses him very much. His mom, his sister, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, as well as his friends, coaches, and teammates. His presence will forever be felt. Long Live CV.
