Commonwealth Nonprofit Security Grant Program

The Commonwealth Nonprofit Security Grant Program provides resources to assist at-risk nonprofits improve physical security at their locations.

Overview

PLEASE NOTE: This program is not currently accepting applications for funding.

This program provides onetime grant funding to help nonprofit organizations (including faith-based institutions, medical and health care facilities, and other human service entities) improve building safety and security for its members/participants and staff. 

Priority is given to applicants who:

• Demonstrate the greatest need (experienced threats and/or incidents of terrorism or hate crimes known or believed to be related to their nonprofit organization’s purpose, mission, or services),
• Propose cost-effective solutions to address high priority security gaps or weaknesses, and 
• have NOT previously received CNSGP or similar funding from OGR.

Eligibility

Only a 501(c)3 nonprofit is eligible to apply. A nonprofit must demonstrate they are at high risk of a terror attack or hate crime to be eligible for funding.
