Public health orders related to the Modified Public Health Emergency declared May 28, 2021.

Orders

Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order 2022-22 issued December 30, 2022) rescinds the following public health emergency orders:

• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2021-7) authorizing certain access to the Massachusetts Immunization Information System (issued September 2, 2021), rescinded effective February 15, 2023
• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-10) regarding non-essential, non-urgent scheduled procedures (February 4, 2022), rescinded effective December 30, 2022
• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-16) regarding use of rescue inhalers and epinephrine autoinjectors in community programs (issued June 27, 2022), rescinded effective February 15, 2023
• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-08) regarding medication administration in Houses of Correction and Department of Correction facilities (issued January 21, 2022), rescinded effective February 15, 2023

Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-18) 

• This order extends authorization for the issuance of temporary licenses for certain providers, and renewal or reactivation of certain temporary licenses (issued September 30, 2022), expires December 31, 2022

This public health order (issued November 14, 2022) rescinds certain public health emergency orders: 

• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order 2022-21)

These public health orders relevant to workforce development remain in effect:

• Order of The Commissioner Of Public Health Providing For Continuity Of Emergency Medical Services Care (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2021-1-A) (issued June 14, 2021) 
• Order of The Commissioner of Public Health Authorizing Additional Individuals To Administer Covid-19 Vaccinations (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2021-1-M) (issued June 14, 2021)
• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-02) regarding unsupervised practice by physician assistants (issued January 14, 2022)
• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-03) regarding out-of-hospital dialysis staffing (issued January 14, 2022)
• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order 2022-20) allowing certain staff to possess and administer prepacked medications in those community programs registered with the Department of Public Health’s Medication Administration Program (Issued November 14, 2022)

  • This order supersedes the effective dates specified in Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-13)  (issued April 29, 2022), (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-07)  (issued January 18, 2022) and COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order 2022-17 (Issued June 27, 2022)

• Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-19) regarding masking requirements in certain settings (issued October 13, 2022)
  • This order supersedes Order of the Commissioner of Public Health (COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-14)  (issued June 10, 2022)
