Data Analyst Application and Information

Access to the Public Health Data Warehouse is only granted to authorized data analysts. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) facilitates an application process for new users.

If you are a DPH employee

Email DPH.PHD@mass.gov to learn how to access the Public Health Data Warehouse.

If your agency contributes data to the Public Health Data Warehouse

Email DPH.PHD@mass.gov to learn how to access the Public Health Data Warehouse.

All Other Applicants

Option 1: Apply to a posted Notice of Opportunity

DPH posts a call for applications online. We do so by using a process called a Notice of Opportunity, or NOO. The NOO will have specific questions that we would like to answer. Applications need to address at least one of these questions. This is a competitive process. We will not approve all applications. DPH does not provide funding to applicants through this process. Applicants do not need to provide funding to DPH through this process.

At this time, there are no posted Notice of Opportunities. The next Notice of Opportunity will likely be open at the end of 2026.

Option 2: Partner with DPH on a grant application

We accept applications at any time for projects that are receiving grant funding for their work. These projects must align with the DPH priorities. Part of the grant must provide funding to support the Public Health Data Warehouse.

Please email DPH.PHD@mass.gov to set up a meeting to learn more about the grant funding path before applying.
