DCR Learn to Swim 2022

The DCR provides free swimming lessons at several state pools and follows the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Program.

The DCR's Learn to Swim Program is proud to offer another season of service! Our classes run during the week, in the mornings before pools open to the public. The classes we provide are focused on water safety education and basic swimming skills. These classes are strategically designed for beginner-level swimmers. Classes are held from 9:30-10am (ages 6-12) and 10:10-10:40am (ages 4-5). The Dennis F. Shine Pool, in Worcester, is offering classes from 8:30-9am (ages 6-12) and 9:10-9:40am (ages 4-5). It is our recommendation that each swimmer resumes their education by taking further swimming lessons upon completion of our program.

Please note: children must be at least 4 years old by the first class in order to be eligible. No exceptions.
