The Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) is teaming up with Bronco Wild Funds to offer a free camping weekend at Otter River State Forest. This event is perfect for first-time family campers – we hope you can join us!

Our friendly DCR staff will be there to help you set up your campsite, show you how to build and put out a safe campfire, and share tips on cooking outdoors. Throughout the weekend, you can try fishing, hiking, and other fun activities. At night, we’ll gather around a cozy campfire to listen to stories and make delicious s’mores!

Bring your own sleeping bags or bedding, food, drinks, cooking utensils, clothes, and anything else you’d like for a fun and comfortable weekend. DCR has 6-person tents and camp stoves for families to borrow, if needed.
