Prequalification Certification Renewal
Horizontal Construction firms must renew their prequalification certification at least every 12 months.
Note: 700 CMR 14.02(5) Submitting an Application for Prequalification. A request for Prequalification will not be considered until a completed Application has been submitted. Applications for Prequalification shall be submitted at least 21 calendar days preceding the day set for opening of bids for work upon which a Contractor intends to bid. Completed applications for prequalification submitted less than 21 days preceding the date which is set for bids to be opened may not be executed or acted upon prior to the bid opening date.
Prequalification Agenda Items
The deadline for submitting the following prequalification items for the Prequalification Committee Meeting Agenda is Fridays at 1:00 pm, Thursdays at 1:00 pm if the Friday is a legal holiday:
- Waivers, Appeals, Joint Venture Requests, Bond Limit Change
Note: 700 CMR 14.03(4)(d) Requests by Contractors for the revision of Aggregate and Single Bonding Capacity, Single Contract Limits or for additional classes of work may be considered by the Prequalification Committee at any time. Unless otherwise approved by the Prequalification Committee, such requests must be submitted at least 21 calendar days prior to a bid opening in order to receive consideration for that bid opening.
Requests for either a Single Class of Work Limit Increase or Additional Class of Work require completed project verification forms from the Owner’s Reps. before the request can be placed on the Prequalification Committee Meeting Agenda.
R109 Form
The deadline for submitting an R109 Form is Fridays at 1:00 pm, Thursdays at 1:00 pm if the Friday is a legal holiday. If submitted late, there is no guarantee your firm will make the bid opening.
