Final Days of Tax Amnesty

The 2024 Massachusetts Tax Amnesty program is in its home stretch. Eligible taxpayers may benefit from having penalties waived on outstanding tax liabilities. The program will end on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:59 pm, and all amnesty returns must be filed or postmarked by that date. Taxpayers must submit an amnesty request on MassTaxConnect. All amnesty payments must be made either with the amnesty request or using the amnesty payment voucher. Instruction videos and FAQs are available to assist.

Are You Required to Make Advance Payments of Your Business Taxes?

Now is the time to determine if you will be required to make advance payments of your business taxes in 2025. Taxpayers with more than $150,000 in total tax liability in calendar year 2024 are required to make advance payments in 2025.  A reminder notice will go out to taxpayers in the coming weeks, including to those who have already reached the threshold and to those we expect may reach the threshold by year-end. You can learn more and find FAQs on the Advance Payments Requirements page.
