We invite you to explore the internship opportunities available in Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) and hope you will consider joining us in the important work we do. The Commonwealth is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage college students from different racial, cultural, economic and ethnic backgrounds to apply regardless of race, color, age, gender, gender identity and expression, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, or disability status.
All internship positions are unpaid, but flexible schedules that range in the number of hours per week and length of internship are provided. An interview is required as part of the selection process. Housing and transportation is the responsibility of the selected students.
Every effort is taken to ensure that each intern finds their time at EEA a valuable learning experience. Toward that end, there is a regular speaker series during the summer session at which senior members of the staff and other professionals in the energy and environmental field present current program information and research. Interns are encouraged to attend the speaker series events as well as meetings beyond their specific project demands. Each participating student should gain a broad understanding of a number of clean energy and environmental issues as well as an appreciation for careers in public service.
