Requirements
- Trip-level reports will be required to be reported using eTRIPs Online or eTRIPS Mobile.
- If you do not fish, you must submit a did not fish report electronically.
- Paper reports for any trip including those that happened on previous dates will not be accepted beginning March 1, 2027.
- Reports will not be accepted by email.
- Federal reporting vessels will continue to report to NOAA Fisheries.
What do you need?
- Access to the internet.
- To use eTRIPS online: A computer with a compatible web browser like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
- To use eTRIPS mobile: A smartphone or tablet with access to Google Play Store or Apple Store to download the free application.
Training Events
To assist with this transition there will be training on the following dates and locations:
- September 15th, 2026 & October 6th, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at UMASS Dartmouth - School for Marine Science and Technology (West), Room 204, 706 South Rodney French Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02774
- September 21st, 2026 & October 19th, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries Gloucester Office, 30 Emerson Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930
Please register for the event you wish to attend by visiting the event registration link or sending an email to dmf.stats@mass.gov with your name, permit number, dates you wish to attend, and the device and platform you wish to use.
