Electronic Reporting Requirements

Beginning March 1, 2027, all Massachusetts commercial permit holders must report electronically using SAFIS eTRIPS online or eTRIPS mobile.

Requirements

  • Trip-level reports will be required to be reported using eTRIPs Online or eTRIPS Mobile.
  • If you do not fish, you must submit a did not fish report electronically.
  • Paper reports for any trip including those that happened on previous dates will not be accepted beginning March 1, 2027.
  • Reports will not be accepted by email.
  • Federal reporting vessels will continue to report to NOAA Fisheries.

What do you need?

  • Access to the internet.
  • To use eTRIPS online: A computer with a compatible web browser like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
  • To use eTRIPS mobile: A smartphone or tablet with access to Google Play Store or Apple Store to download the free application.
