Find an ambulance service in Massachusetts

See our list of licensed ambulance services and emergency first responder (EFR) services in Massachusetts.

Ambulance services and EFRs which are licensed to operate in Massachusetts by the Department of Public Health through the Office of Emergency Medical Services may be found on the Check a health profession license website.

Your search criteria should include:

  • Office of Emergency Medical Services for “License Board”
  • Ambulance Service License or Emergency First Responder License for “License Type”
  • For a full list of all services, leave “Organization Name” blank
  • You may export the search results into s CSV or Excel file.

A “License Status” of “Current” indicates the service is operational, regardless of the indicated expiration date. A “License Status” of Provisional is distinct from a standard ambulance service or EFR license. The Department of Public Health frequently inspects the service during its up to six-month provisional licensure period, to provide more oversight support and monitor compliance with all regulatory standards as well as its approved Plan of Correction.
