Find Insurance Agents, Agencies and Other Licensees

The Massachusetts Division of Insurance, through State Based Systems (SBS), offers an online verification service to check the license status of Insurance Producers, Insurance Agencies, Public Insurance Adjusters, Motor Vehicle Damage Appraisers, Consultant Advisors, Reinsurance Intermediary Brokers, Reinsurance Intermediary Managers, Surplus Lines Brokers and Life Settlement Brokers.

Online Verification Service is available at the Massachusetts State Service SBS page. 

Lists of licensees may be created using the Report Generator function in SBS. The reports are available to download immediately after paying the fee assessed by the NAIC.  Alternatively, you may request a report from the Division of Insurance using the public record request form. There is no charge for a public record request but note that it may take up to 10 business days to receive a response.
