Access to the shoreline of Fitchburg Reservoir is available off of Rindge Rd at several pull-offs (get directions). Swimming, wading, boating, ice fishing, ice skating, or other in-water or on-water activities are prohibited. Please contact the City of Fitchburg for additional information and/or restrictions, pertaining to public access of Fitchburg Reservoir.

Fishing
The water levels at Fitchburg Reservoir fluctuate throughout the year given precipitation levels and demand for drinking water. Lower levels permit one to hike extensively along the shore from a single access point. Higher levels are more restrictive. Fitchburg Reservoir has produced largemouth bass, chain pickerel, yellow perch, black crappie, bullhead, and sunfish that meet minimum sizes for recognition by Freshwater Sportfishing Awards Program.
