General community-based domestic violence services

These providers support the individual, familial, and social needs of the survivors of domestic violence, their children, and/or their other dependents.

Service approach

These service providers offer comprehensive, quality, culturally relevant, trauma-informed community-based domestic violence advocacy and support services, grounded in social justice and a strengths-based approach.

In particular, programming goes beyond responding to crises to promote the well-being of survivors, particularly survivors experiencing multiple challenges and needs that arise at the intersection of poverty, trauma, violence, and oppression. By promoting survivors’ social connectedness, sense of mastery, safety, stability, and meaningful access to relevant resources, these providers support survivors and their children and/or dependents in a holistic way.
