Gregory Richard “Flea” Grantsis

People gravitated to my brother like moths to a flame! He had the energy and charisma that would make anyone forget their problems while in his presence. Whether he met you in kindergarten or was being a good Samaritan helping a stranded motorist, once you met Gregory, you were his friend for life. He was an adventurous soul, lived his "short" life to the fullest, and always had an entourage in tow and a smile on his face.

On November 9, 2021, what seemed like another ordinary night out at a local pub, laughing and high fiving with both childhood friends and strangers alike who were attracted to his addictive persona, my "unarmed" brother Greg was selfishly and tragically taken from us.

After leaving the pub, Greg and his two close friends spent what would be known as the "last hour" of his short 36 years of life driving around reminiscing about their younger days, laughing and listening to the classic rock songs he grew to adore while a youngster at our dad's auto repair shops, when during an act of road rage two cowards shot and killed my younger "unarmed" brother Greg and ruined our lives forever.

Greg was a caring and loving son to Bill and Deana, an adoring father to Kaylee and Gregory Jr., and a devoted brother to Nick, Ana, Peter, and Stef. He was proud of his Greek heritage and was an incredible grandson to Yiya. He was a jack of all trades. He could give you a line up in the barber chair at the family's auto shop and give your car an oil change right after.
