Meeting Minutes

A. Call to Order

• Commissioner Gladstone calls the meeting to order and confirms members are present and technology is working.

B. Administrative Matters

• Commissioner Gladstone informs the committee members of Segun Idowu’s appointment as Boston’s Chief of Economic Development by Mayor Wu. Segun Idowu will be letting the Commissioner know whether he can continue with the Committee after his appointment.
• Committee Members agreed to use January’s meeting to continue the discussion of MBE, WBE and VBE participation and delay the workforce participation discussion.
• Karen Courtney asked about opening part of the meeting to public comment. Committee Members are considering the request.
• Next meeting: Friday, January 28th at 10 a.m.

C. Vote to approve November Meeting Minutes.

• Meeting minutes prepared by DCAMM staff shared with Committee Members for review and approval.
• November meeting minutes approved via voice vote.

D. Update from DCAMM on subcontracting

• Susan Goldfischer provides a quick refresher for Committee Members on DCAMM’s subcontracting process.
• Committee Members asked various clarifying questions regarding the subcontracting process and requirements.

E. Presentation from Construction Manager on MBE, WBE & VBE participation, outreach & approaches

• Joe Albanese, Jordan Kannon and Brad Forrest presented.
• Committee Members asked various questions regarding the presentation.

F. Conclusion

• Meeting adjourned.
