Description

Hudsons Pond is a 17-acre impoundment of the Assabet River located off of Main St. in downtown Hudson. Once on the water, one may paddle upstream into the Assabet River for some distance, even utilizing other access points to haul out of the water.

Recreational access

The town of Hudson manages Wood Park which contains an unimproved dirt launch suitable for car top boats and 30 car parking area off of Park St. near downtown (get directions). Hudsons Pond resembles more of the Assabet River here than an impoundment and shore fishing is hampered by wetlands and overhanging trees hugging the shore.  A second unimproved dirt cartop launch is located behind the Hudson Town Library with parking for roughly 15 cars (get directions). If accessing Hudsons pond behind the library be sure to follow all parking signage. Please contact the town of Hudson for additional information and/or restrictions pertaining to public access of Hudsons Pond.
