Bay State Council of the Blind
Advocacy Efforts of the BSCB – Bay State Council of the Blind
The Bay State Council of the Blind (BSCB) is a statewide, member-driven organization dedicated to improving the lives of people who are blind or have low vision in Massachusetts. BSCB is the Massachusetts state affiliate of the American Council of the Blind, a national blindness consumer advocacy organization committed to increasing the independence, security, equality of opportunity, and quality of life for blind and low vision individuals across the United States.
Through thoughtful advocacy, education, and collaboration at both the state and national levels, BSCB works to advance policies and systems that promote access, safety, independence, and full participation in community life.
In addition to advocacy, BSCB is a vibrant social organization that offers opportunities for connection, learning, and fun. Members come together for meetings, social gatherings, educational programs, and shared experiences that build community and foster friendships.
