Description
Loon Pond is a 27-acre Great Pond located off of Bedford Street in Lakeville. Loon Pond has an average depth of 15 feet, a maximum depth of 33 feet, and the waters typically transparent to 10 feet. Approximately half of the pond's shoreline is contained within Ted Williams Camp which features playing fields and hiking trails. The other half of the shore is modestly developed with residential houses.
Recreational access
Cartop boat and shoreline access is provided at Ted Williams Camp which is managed by the town of Lakeville (get directions). No motors are allowed on Loon Pond. Shore fishing is possible on park lands on the southern and eastern shores. Parking by the tennis courts likely affords the shortest carry-in but there are several parking areas; a parking fee may apply. Please contact the town of Lakeville for additional information, fee structure, and/or restrictions to public access of Loon Pond.
