Fishing

Mary's Pond is a popular recreational boating destination throughout summer. Fishing pressure usually peaks in spring and fall coinciding with trout stocking. While trout can be taken in summer at around 20 feet, angling for largemouth and smallmouth bass seem to be the most popular during that time. The majority of these fish will be in the 12-17 inch size range with an occasional larger fish. Marys Pond has produced brook, brown, rainbow and tiger trout, yellow perch, largemouth bass, black crappie, brown bullhead, and sunfish that meet minimum sizes for recognition by the Freshwater Sportfishing Awards Program.
