The MACR analyzes and publishes cancer data regularly. Data tools and reports share cancer incidence (new cases) and mortality (deaths). These tools and reports are are available to the public.
Data Requests
There are several types of data requests for cancer data in Massachusetts. Please review the descriptions to learn more and select the most applicable option.
Aggregate Data: For specific aggregated data, please contact the MACR epidemiologist. The team will respond within 2-4 business days to confirm if the request can be done. These requests can contain zip code or census tract data if cell suppression rules allow.
Case-level Data for Research: For privacy, MACR restricts access to record level data. If you need record level data for research, you may request access. The MDPH Institutional Review Board (IRB) manages this process. More information is available on the IRB website.
Individual Data: If you are seeking individual data about yourself or another individual, please contact your medical provider.
