Abstracting and Coding Updates

The MACR follows the Center for Disease Control’s National Program for Cancer Registries standards (NPCR).
Statewide and national reporting requirements often change. To help hospital and facility reporters keep up with these changes, the MACR publishes the MCRe-minder Newsletter. These newsletters provide updates on abstracting and coding procedures for hospital and facility reporters. These updates are shared with oncology data specialists via email and serve as a regular resource for information.
