Fishing
Access to deep water near the dam along Shore Dr. makes shore fishing here quite popular. Those with access to a boat should look for largemouth bass along the eastern shore up to the town beach where the banks are steep. Largemouth bass appear to do well here but reports are limited. Newfield Pond has produced largemouth bass, black crappie, and bullhead that meet the minimum size for recognition by the Freshwater Sportfishing Awards Program.
