The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) intends to award $207,538.62 in state FY26 Shannon Community Safety Initiative (CSI) funds to Northeastern University.
The purpose of the Shannon CSI Statewide Research Partner is to assist all funded Shannon CSI sites, Local Action Research Partners (LARPs), and OGR by providing strategic, analytic, and research programmatic support.
This is not a competitive solicitation, as this is a continuation grant resulting from a competitive process conducted in SFY25 soliciting requests for a Shannon Statewide Research Partner. At that time, there was language included indicating that the successful bidder would have two options to renew based on successful performance.
The FY26 awardee, Northeastern University, will be entering Year Two of this continuation grant. The awardee will be eligible for up to one additional year of continuation funding contingent upon receiving additional funds from the Commonwealth in FY27, future legislative language, amount of funds appropriated, and performance during FY26.
The estimated project period is July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027.
