Register, apply for, or renew a DLS Employment/Placement Agency license

All agencies and agents doing business in Massachusetts must be licensed or registered by the Department of Labor Standards (DLS). This includes agencies that do not have a physical office in Massachusetts. Questions? Call DLS at (617) 626-6969.

Application for initial or renewal license and registration

Payment must be made immediately following application submittal
Agencies must pay a fee:

Licensed Employment Agency (1-4 counselors)$300 per year
Licensed Employment Agency (5 or more counselors)$550 per year
Registered Placement Agency (Main Office)$300 per year
Registered Placement Agency (each Branch Office)$180 per year
