Fishing

Pleasant Pond is an excellent spring and fall trout pond. The deep water remains cold enough to carry trout from year to year as a few holdover fish are caught each year. Due to its relatively small size, anglers can thoroughly cover this pond in a day. If fishing for trout later in the summer keep adjusting your depth you find fish. There are also plenty of chain pickerel and yellow perch both in the summer but particularly in winter through the ice. Pleasant Pond has produced chain pickerel, largemouth bass, sunfish, bullhead, rainbow trout, and tiger trout that meet minimum sizes for recognition by the Freshwater Sportfishing Awards Program.
