The project construction bid was awarded to J. H. Lynch & Sons Inc. in January 2026. Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2026 and continue through 2031. Planned work includes roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, new and upgraded sidewalks, pedestrian curb ramps, driveway improvements, drainage upgrades, utility work, landscaping, and updated signage and pavement markings.
In 2026, early construction activities will include construction signage installation, surveying, erosion control, tree protection, tree removal, relocation of privately owned signs, and demolition of four structures at the intersection of Route 114 and Hillside Road. Additional work will consist of test pitting, island and median removal, and a traffic stage shift. Utility work will continue throughout the remainder of 2026.
