The Rapid Impact Assessment Coordination Plan provides a framework for a coordinated effort by state agencies, cities and towns, and non-governmental agencies to assess impacts to critical infrastructure, public/private property, and the environment during and after an incident. Accurate and timely impact assessments will assist decision makers in prioritizing response activities, allocating resources immediately after an incident, and provide an estimate of financial losses to support federal declarations.
